10,000+ active users — field-ready medical documentation for military readiness.

A digital wellness platform for soldiers, veterans, and military families — tablet-optimized for combat-medic workflow, with QR-scan identification, body-injury mapping, vital signs logging, and decentralized data storage built for low-bandwidth environments. Officially presented to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

The challenge

Three problems — all at once.

Combat-medic teams in the field lacked quick access to soldiers' medical history. In high-stress situations, medics had to sift through paper-based records — increasing transcription errors during evacuations and delaying critical decisions.

Information was fragmented: vital signs, prior wounds, interventions taken, and identification were spread across paper documents that didn't survive field conditions or handoffs to evacuation teams.

The system needed to operate in low-bandwidth conditions with offline capability, while remaining HIPAA / GDPR-compliant for personal health data — and decentralized enough to resist single-point-of-failure attacks.

What we did

Seven specific things.

  • 01Built a tablet-optimized frontend in Svelte / SvelteKit — measured 2× faster page performance vs. traditional React-based comparables in the same workflow
  • 02Designed touch-friendly UX for combat-medic workflow: QR or service-ID lookup, body-injury mapping by wound type, time-stamped vital signs entry
  • 03Implemented real-time data sync with offline-first capability — the system functions in low-bandwidth conditions and syncs when reconnected
  • 04Built medical-intervention tracking that captures tourniquet, bandage, and airway placement with timestamps tied to soldier ID
  • 05Integrated DeHealth ID for decentralized, secure identity and data storage — no single-point-of-failure dependency
  • 06Added mind-body components: mood tracking, stress assessment, sleep and dietary pattern dashboards for veteran wellness
  • 07Aligned data handling with HIPAA, GDPR, and Data Protection Act standards — including consent flows and audit trails
